World Championships Last Chance Qualifier

The Last Chance Qualifier is a one-day event to give players who did not who did not earn an invitation to the World Championships events one more opportunity to participate in the main event. The Last Chance Qualifier takes place on August 12th at the same location as the World Championships.

Last Chance Qualifier Registration:

Junior and Senior Divisions:
Line opens: 8:00 A.M.
Line closes: 8:30 A.M.

Masters Division:
Line opens: 1:00 P.M.
Line closes: 1:30 P.M.

Last Chance Qualifier Attendance Caps:

Junior Division-256 players

Senior Division-256 players

Masters Division-512 players

 

World Championships Last Chance Qualifier

Registering to Play in the Last Chance Qualifier:

Pre-registration is not available for this event. Players may only sign up for the event during their age division’s registration times. Competitor slots will be distributed on a first come, first served basis. Players who already have an invitation to participate in either the Pokemon TCG or Pokemon VGC World Championships are ineligible to participate in the Last Chance Qualifier.

 

Additional Information:

Players who wish to compete in a Pokémon VGC event must adhere to the Tournament Regulations.

When you show up at a Pokémon Video Game tournament, there are some things you must have with you. We’ve provided this handy checklist so that you can show up to the event prepared!

Players at European events may only use European versions
Players at United States events may only use North American versions
Players at the World Championships may use any version

  • A Nintendo DS system

Players are strongly encouraged to bring a charger for their systems, as tournament staff will not have chargers available for loan

  • A team of legal Pokémon per the Tournament Regulations
  • Should a player’s eligibility to participate in an age division be questioned, proof of age may be requested. Failure to provide proof of age may result in the player being denied participation in the tournament, at the organizer’s discretion

 

Last Chance Qualifier Prizes:

Prizes are awarded the top finishers in each of three age divisions.
